Hangin’ out at Sephora like a beauty bum, ahem queen.

Caught a glimpse of a girl staring at me for longer than the awkward 9 seconds you are allowed to stare without being rude. (maybe it is because I am taking iPhone self portraits of myself here while waiting for Raebear to pick me up..?)

Love Sephora.

I feel completely at home here, everyone’s so nice and full of compliments! One Sephora girl said, “Wow! You look hydrated!” I am über excited to share my skin products with you tomorrow at FNO!

Photo: Post photo shoot for Manhattan Magazine in Soho. Super fun, even more fun now that I’m in my playhouse x

Fashion’s Night Out, 9.6.12.

My goal is to create a personalized beauty experience for every guest that joins my beauty and photo team. I personally love giving people an uplift in their look, then capturing it in photos!! Can’t wait to select a few to even participate in our next webisode.

I am also looking to confirm a wardrobe vendor or two, in addition to my skin care available for sale that night.

PS the flyer is by my Dara, inspired by the Instagram look- genius! xo

A last minute Sunday inspiration, a new eye cream! I will try it for the next 10 days to test, then review. FNO guests will also have a chance to try it- and even buy it. Excited to do my night regimen with it now! x Almost midnight, past my bed-time.

Good night!

Personal notes on my beauty goals- a few goals have already been reached to become routine. For instance, I apply Shiseido SPF every morning without a thought. Still, here are a few things I’d like to keep solidly habitual.. like forever.

Objective: Maintain Hydrated + Glowing Skin

  • Night/Day Skin Ritual, daily
  • Deep Cleansing Hydro Facial + Extractions, monthly
  • Mask Sheets, weekly
  • Baby Oil Body Moisture, daily
  • Ice Cold Baths! Bi-weekly
  • Chomp on Cucumbers - hydrate adequately, daily

7-Day Acne Zap Plan.

So, the past seven days have been a personal pursuit of getting my skin back to normal after an acne breakout* last Wednesday- and I’ve succeeded!

Why it happened: 1) Too much of a good thing is bad: applied a detox mask two nights in a row after a long sun-filled vaca. 2) Over-indulged in hearty, nightly dinners cooked by my Ray** 3) Stress from lack of sleep? Yes.

How I got my skin back to its normal, acne-free complexion: 1) Sprinted to the nearest day spa to get a 90 Minute Deep Cleansing Facial, with extractions and all. It opened up my pores, cleansed, and revived my skin- I felt great, was glowing. 2) Watched my diet and eating habits, also made sure to drink LOTS of water. 3) Bought all types of cucumbers at Mitsuwa***, to slice and place on my face as a natural toner every other night before bed. Softens and calms your skin, smells fresh, even ate some as I cut.****

My seven day breakout frenzy is now over!

*The breakout on my forehead was definitely correlated to my digestive system, as I’ve read.

**Ah, his hot wings! So good, but oh so bad.

***Love Mitsuwa in NJ, great Japanese products.

****A bite out of a cucumber immediately cuts unhealthy cravings!
