How To Pose For Your Body Type:

  1. I’ve got skinny legs! But it doesn’t have to be a flaw and you should embrace whatever body parts you believe are ‘less than perfect’. To me there is no such thing! Embrace and perfect!
  2. Practice moving in front of the mirror until it feels natural to find angles that work for you. It’s like choreographing a dance. You start somewhere comfortable and you move to the rhythm.. good music certainly helps.
  3. Learn how to smile with your eyes. Confident facial expressions are key- and have more than one! Selfies are a good way to practice.

Halloween idea: Geisha Girl!

The makeup artist, Mia Koo, for my photo shoot with Manhattan Magazine over the weekend was amazing. It was so much fun transforming into a Geisha through makeup, hair, and wardrobe! Thought this would be a great post to get some last minute ideas going for Halloween.

xx

My #1 goal in life (right now) is to wakeup early, do all the 1 million things I’d love to do’s in the morning- have a leisurely breakfast, go to the gym, play with the pups, etc! We all have our morning dos and wants. What are yours?

So what is the one thing we do every morning? I never leave the house without makeup or at least some form of skincare/haircare- even if its just a touch of gloss or a spritz of hair serum. So, I thought of the idea to do a Wakeup To Makeup series - self explanatory. But for me the best part of waking up is to washup and apply makeup!

For my first one, Ty happened to be running towards me during my recording after his bath (Daddy is in the background “thank you!”). So he looks all shiny and happy, while I find a way to do a quick touch-up with a 4-year-old boy on my lap. LOVE how it turned out, so this ended up being the final cut. xx

LOVE this photo as a frame-able! This photo shoot was produced as an ad for The Shark Daymond of Shark Tank (Daymond John) and DJ Danny Estrella’s club appearances. It was a special experience because Heather & Felicia are my girls— love you gals! x

The hair and makeup was flawless, will get the name of the makeup artist and edit it in tomorrow- his skills were amazing! I really felt like a doll.

This shoot was back in February, so the ad is out and about by now.

Photo: The last shot of the night, we are all pretending to be tired/hungover! Ha.

Love big waves, big hair, big curls. Here are tips straight from hair stylist, Eddie, at Image Powerhouse for Boudoir waves.

What you’ll need for this classic boudoir look: clips, 1 to 1 ½ inch curling iron, and lots and lots of hair spray for long lasting curls!

Eddie sectioned my long ombré hair and curled it one piece at a time.

  • Step 1: Wind small section of hair around the curling iron (make sure to start at the root rather than the tip), and leave it in for 10-15 seconds.
  • Step 2: Release the ringlet, and pin it up with a small clip. Note: make sure to leave your ringlets pinned up as long as possible.
  • Step 3: Once you’re all dressed up and ready to go, release ringlets and apply hair spray, one curl at a time.
  • Step 4: Whip hair around to loosen curls. Don’t worry if the curls look too tight at first, they will naturally loosen.

Tada! Soft beautiful boudoir curls.

Another Sunday Inspo: Big Hair! x

Here is a look behind the scenes of Mon Cheri’s shoot. The webisode can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eLR4-5PPgk&feature=relmfu

There are a select few life events that are dear to a girl’s life. One is being pregnant for sure! Capturing this special time while looking as gracefully beautiful as she does is an amazing blessing!

I’d love to do more like this one in the future, it was private and intimate- very beautifully done. I loved helping her come up with the concept, look, and overlooking each and every aspect of the shoot.

The blondes at the agency asked for me to touch them up for a glowing after-work look. I dug into my makeup bag, as well as AnaBanana, the intern’s makeup bag which was filled with Hourglass cosmetics- love.

Here were my tools to touch them up, and add glow:

  • Chanel Irréelle Duo in Emerald Coast, to add some shimmer to eyelids.
  • Aura Sheer Cheek Stain, for a sweet girly glow
  • Hour Glass Blush Brush, to contour and blush out the cheek stain
  • Anastasia Brunette, new discovery, looks amazing and natural on blondes! Precisely shaped and defined brows make such a difference.
  • Harajuku scent in Love, sprayed at roots of the hair to keep the scent lasting and au natural.

The key is to achieve an effortless glow without looking like you have a ton of makeup on- like Charlize Theron or Gwenyth Paltrow, aspirational blondes:)

PS- there will be a makeup tutorial coming soon, per your inbox requests! Pls stay tuned xx Raebear gifted me a new iMac (for our anni and my editing, blogging, vlogging, etc.) which is coming via UPS soon- loveeee!

I am surrounded by photography on a daily basis. It’s one of those skills that I am around so much that when I do get a chance to hold a camera it comes naturally to me. My brother is a photographer, I work at a photo agency, and Image Powerhouse is in the business of photo shoots.

The event last night was beautifully successful. We planned for an intimate setting where each girl could be personally attended to by our makeup artist, Cherry, who did an amazing job.

I also had the opportunity to soft launch a few Skincare products that will be available online soon.

I can’t wait to go through the captures of the night. They will be uploaded to Facebook by tomorrow morning- thanks to Mike Dote for all of the photo booth captures!

Special thank you to Kim at Prestigious/ Image Powerhouse- Donna, JP, and Michael at Image Powerhouse as well. Andy (photo), Jesse, and Cyril (video) for supporting the event. And of course the gorgeous guests! xx

Curiously opened up a page in the book, Star: A Novel, by Pamela Anderson while waiting for Rae bear to pick me up.

The goal this weekend is to surround myself with inspirational things, people, and ideas to get ready for a busy week! Bravery will be the key word. What are some things that inspire you to move forward with any of your personal and/or professional projects?

I would also love to accomplish answering one of the more personal questions in my inbox from you xx

Have an amazing weekend!
